Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Tangiwai pounamu. Black, silver, mid green. Cross-section is asymmetrical. Surface is ground on most of front and bevel, sides and back are bruised. Undifferentiated between butt and blade, back of adze increases towards butt, so blade is much less deep than butt. Bevel is demarcated by a line, cutting edge is sharp and straight, oblique. "Moeraki" written on back.
