Adze, Toki
Adze roughout. The cross section is asymmetrical. The proper left side is thin and approximately rectangular. The proper right side is heavily flaked and partially trapezoidal with the back narrower than the front. The surface of the back and sides is flaked, except for the bevel, which is ground. The upper portion of the front surface is bruised, the lower portion is ground. The butt is undifferentiated. The bevel is demarcated by a line and the differential treatment of the surface. The cutting edge is straight but asymmetrical, with the proper right side of the blade longer then the left. The edge is chipped but sharp.
