Chisel, Whao
Broken chisel, blade remaining. Light green pounamu. Surface is ground and flaked. Cross-section is rectangular. Proper left side of the butt is not present and a large flake is missing from the proper right side; differentiation between butt and blade cannot be determined. Bevel is continuous with the blade. Cutting edge is straight and sharp. "North Canterbury" inscription.
