Adze, Toki
Complete adze. The cross section of the blade is trapezoidal with the back narrower than the front. The cross section of the butt is oval. The front and back surface of the blade is ground. The sides and butt are mostly bruised and flaked. There are faint spots on the ground surfaces, especially the front. The butt is differentiated by bruising on surface, tapering towards poll and more oval cross section. The bevel is continuous with the blade. The cutting edge is slightly curved and sharp.
