Gouge, Whao

Broken gouge, most of the bevel and the cutting edge are missing. Grey stone. Oval cross-section. The surface is ground with flake scars near the poll. The sides of the gouge taper out from the cutting edge towards the poll. The remaining bevel is demarcated by a curved ridge. There is a dark line around the gouge near the upper end.
