Adze, Toki
Complete unfinished adze. Dark brown stone. Asymmetrical trapezoidal cross-section with the back narrower than the front. The surface is bruised and ground. There is a rounded shoulder on the front of the blade and a reduction in the stone on the front and sides of the butt. The bevel is demarcated by a ridge on the proper right and by a line of bruising on the proper left. The cutting edge is curved and sharp, with some chips. "Mable Bush" is written on the front of the blade in pencil.
