Adze, Toki

Complete adze. Dark brown and black stone. The cross-section is trapezoidal with the back narrower than the front. The surface is mostly bruised and ground. There is a curved shoulder indicated on the front of the blade by the bruising on the butt that outlines it. There is a slight reduction in the sides and back of the butt. The bevel is smooth and continuous with the blade. The cutting edge is curved, sharp and chipped.
