Adze, Toki

Broken adze (blade remaining and lower butt). Stone. Dark grey flecked with black. Cross-section is trapezoidal, back narrower than front. Surface is ground. Major differentiation between butt and blade, front and sides reduced forming shoulder. There is a ridge just break. Bevel is demarcated by a line, bevel is concave, cutting edge is sharp and straight. Southland (?) written on front.
