Adze roughout. Black stone. Surface is bruised and flaked. Cross-section is asymmetrical. Butt is reduced on the proper left side. Bevel is demarcated by flake scars. Cutting edge is curved and unfinished. "McClennan River. Taukupu Bay" inscription on front.
