Roughout Rectangular cross-section at bevel, irregular trapezoid cross-section at blade with back narrower than the front rough flaked surface, and smooth unworked stone surface on back There is a narrowing and then widening of the sides of the blade towards the poll The stone at the lower back of the adze slopes down to the bottom edge but it ends at a blunt irregular edge rather than a sharp cutting edge. The blade is asymmetrical and unfinished. Sharp irregular ridges form the narrower back side of the blade, widest at bevel, waisted near the top and wide again at the poll
