Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Stone. Mid-grey. Cross-section is semi-circular, back flattened. Surface is mostly bruised, , some flaking on proper left side, ground on bevel. Major differentiation between butt and blade, front reduced forming shoulder. Lug on poll end of butt. Bevel is continuous with blade, cutting edge is blunt and curved, chipped. Adze has a large fragment missing from proper left side, but cutting edge has been reworked after break. Catlins? written on front.
