Adze, Toki
Complete unfinished adze. Dark grey stone. The cross-section is quadrangular. The surface is ground on the front of the blade, and flaked and bruised on both sides of the butt and the back of the blade. Flake scars on the front of the butt make it distinct from the blade. The bevel is a thin irregular ground band, distinct from the blade because of its surface. The cutting edge is curved, sharp and chipped.
