Adze, Toki
Complete adze The cross section is rectangular. The surface of the front is ground but the back is flaked. There is minor differentiation between the butt and the blade as the two sides taper in towards the poll. The bevel is demarcated by a prominent semi-circular ridge at the chin. The cutting edge is straight and sharp but has a major chip in the middle.
