Roughout Irregular trapezoid cross-section with the back narrower than the front Rough flaked surface There is no differentiation between the blade and the butt, apart from a narrowing of the sides of the blade towards the poll The stone at the lower back of the adze is in the rough shape of a bevel but it ends at a flat side rather than a cutting edge. The blade is asymmetrical and unfinished. Sharp irregular edges form the narrower back side of the blade.
