Gouge, Whao
Complete pounamu gouge. The cross section is circular at the blade, tapering to a rectangle at the poll. The surface is ground, with flaking at the poll. There is minor delineation between the blade and butt, with the blade tapering towards the poll. The bevel is continuous with the blade. The cutting edge is curved and sharp.
