Chisel, Whao
Complete pounamu chisel. The cross section is rectangular. The surface is ground with some flaking on the butt. There is minor demarcation between blade and butt, with the sides tapering to a point at the poll. Both sides of the cutting edge are bevelled. The back has a bevel demarcated by a curved line. The front bevel is much smaller and straight. The cutting edge is straight and sharp.
