Adze, Toki
Complete adze. The cross section is rectangular. The surface is ground but has a lot of flaking, particularly on the butt but also on the front and back of the blade. There is a sawing mark on the proper left hand side. There is minor differentiation on the proper right hand side between the butt and the blade as the side tapers in towards the poll but there are no other significant butt features. The bevel is demarcated by a faint triangular line at the chin. The cutting edge is straight and sharp with one large chip on the proper right hand side.
