Pendant, He Kura
Pounamu pendant reworked from a chisel. Mid-green kawakawa variety. Rectangular shape and cross section. Surface is ground with some bruising at the proximal end. Proximal end has a straight sawing mark on one side, used for suspension. Other side of the proximal end is bevelled. Distal end tapers slightly, with a bevel demarcated by a line on each side and a straight, sharp cutting edge. Modified from chisel, Nephrite/pounamu - kawakawa variety;blue/green Chisel shaped
