Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Black stone. Cross-section is rectangular on the blade and irregular on the butt. Surface is ground and bruised. Differentiation between the butt and blade; sides are tapered toward the poll. Bevel is demarcated by a line. Cutting edge is straight and sharp but flaked. Proper left side is much wider than proper right side. "Papanui" inscription.
