Scraper, Pendant, He Kura
Complete nephrite/pounamu cutting tool or pendant. Oxidised rear surface, dark green and light grey inanga variety. Surface is ground smooth with some pitting. Flattened quadrangular in cross section and asymmetrical trapezoid in profile. Cutting edge is sharp and oblique. Deep sawing marks across both sides of the proximal end, creating an elongated perforation in the centre; unclear whether perforation is an intentional suspension hole or just a crack formed by sawing marks intended for tool lashing.
