Adze, Toki

Complete adze. Grey stone. The cross-section is trapezoidal with the back narrower than the front. The surface is mostly ground with large flake scars on the front and sides of the blade. There is bruising on the back of the butt and blade. There is no distinction between the butt and the blade. The sides of the blade taper in towards the poll. There bevel is smooth and continuous with the blade. The cutting edge is sharp and curved.
