Adze, Toki

Complete unfinished adze. Mid grey stone. Trapezoidal cross-section with the back narrower than the front. The surface is mostly bruised with ground areas on the blade. There is an irregular shoulder on the front of the blade with a reduction in the stone on the front and sides of the butt. The bevel is continuous with the blade, and demarcated by increased bruising. The cutting edge is sharp and chipped.
