Adze, Toki

Unfinished adze. Light grey stone. Oval cross-section. The surface is ground on the blade with flaking and bruising on the butt. The butt is differentiated from the blade by an irregular line of bruising on the back of the blade and a slight reduction in the stone on the back of the butt. The bevel is continuous with the blade. The cutting edge is straight and sharp.
