Adze, Toki

Large complete adze. Light brown stone with dark brown markings. Trapezoidal cross-section with the back narrower than the front. The surface mostly bruised with ground areas on the blade and flake scars on the poll. There is a straight shoulder on the front of the blade distinguishing the butt from the blade, and the stone on the front of the butt is reduced. The bevel is straight and demarcated by a protruding chin. The cutting edge is curved and chipped.
