Adze roughout. Grey stone. Surface is bruised. Cross-section is rectangular. No differentiation between butt and blade; sides taper toward poll. Bevel is continuous with the blade. Cutting edge is blunt and flaked. "Clutha District" inscription. Attached tag reads "Unfinished Maori Axe Clutha District" on one side and the initials "W.L.R." on the other
