Bruised and flaked surface The poll of the adze is curved, flaked and irregular, with a slight outward curve on the proper right The left and right sides of the back of the adze are bruised as though shaping of the tool had only started. The shape of the bevel is indicated by an area of unbruised stone and a ridge on the proper left side. The cutting edge is irregular, badly flaked and asymmetrical
