Adze, Toki

Complete adze. Dark grey stone. Trapezoidal cross-section with the back narrower than the front. The blade is ground and the bevel and butt are bruised. There are flake scars on the poll and cutting edge. There is a straight and oblique shoulder on the front of the blade and a reduction in the stone on the front and sides of the butt. The bevel is demarcated by a curved line of bruising. The cutting edge is flaked and straight.
