Complete adze Cross-section of blade is rectangular, cross-section of butt is oval. Surface of blade is ground, butt is bruised. Major differentiation between butt and blade. Front reduced to form shoulder. Bevel is demarcated by a ridge. Cutting edge is sharp and curved.
