Reports of a very beautiful greenstone mere obtained from South Taranaki.

Refers to some notes by McCully on Mantell's diagramatic map of the track up the Waitaki. Stresses the importance of recording the locality of items in a collection. Knapp's collection in Nelson is lacking in this respect.
