Letter, 09/05/1937, Mr R Crewes to H D Skinner, Slate scraper found on bank of Waitangi stream, Long Point. There was no skeletons. Mentioned to Teviotdale had found chisel buried with skeleton in sand. Also found 2 other skeletons in sitting position, limbs tied with flax. they are in an area of shifting sand. Area was used by Maori, found places with burnt stones, chips of flint and large heaps Barracouta fish bones. Has stone sinkers and pounders which will send, have given away most finds.
