Notes, List of sites in Dunedin city and Taieri areas.

Correspondence, Correspondence largely from M G Hitchings concerning the writing of a handbook on sites in the Otago area. Lots of letters are following up with contributors how their sections are coming along. Recipients include: Gathercole, Knight, Lockerbie, McArthur, Mackay, Phelan, Simmons, and Trotter.

Manapouri notes, 1963, Newspaper clippings about Lake Manapouri and the hydro-electric turbines that would be installed. Also includes typed field notes on sites around Lake Manapouri and Te Anau. All dated 1963. sites mentioned contain moa and human bones.

Correspondence, 1968-1969, six letters, largely to or from J Daniels or G S Park. First letter dated 1968 concerns Elaine C Brown's thesis work on Moko. Second letter, 1969, concerns a potential site on W A Cameron's property. The remaining four letters are dated 1968 and concern exchange of site notes.

Correspondence, 1966-1968, Letters discussing archaeological sites at Haast that were being endangered by settlement. Dated 1966 and 1968. Sketches of site at Haast and Arawata Rivers.

Report, 1960s, Letter from 1968 concerning wood samples examined by NZ Forest Service, and the copy of the 1962 report with the findings of the examined samples. Sites include Pleasant River, Long Beach, Waitaki Mouth, Kohuka, Tai-rua, and Paerau.

Letter, 1968, Letter from 1968 talking about a publication on the 'Long Island, Dusky Sound' discovery in 1965 and proceeding excavation in 1966, by Nigel Duckworth alongside Tatum, Besh, Curtis, Gregg. Talks of moa, southern blue penguin, sharewater, south island kokako, shag and other NZ bird bones, as well as rat, seal and fish bones. There is also evidence of a man in a hut being squashed by a bolder (human bones).

Correspondence, 1968, Letter from 1968 penned by Arthur Cose (unsure on the last name) to Peter thanking for his time advising the Archeological Society and sending well wishes on his return to England.

Correspondence, 1968, Letters from 1968 between Hardwicke Knight, Department of Medical Photography, Dunedin Hospital and Peter. Discusses sites at Little Papanui, Tarewai Point, Little Pyramid Cave, Harwood as well as Harrington Point, the peninsula, Hooper's Inlet and Victory Beach. Hardwicke expresses in his letter disappointment in the sites outlined for preservation and worries more significant ones are going to be left unprotected over less significant/already historically excavated sites.

Correspondence, 1968, Letters between Stuart Park, the Anthropology Department, Professor Mark, and the Regional Planning Authority from 1968. One letter focuses on the lack of late Maori settlement at Harrington Point and locals thoughts around Maori settlements in the area. Another letter on a list of 24 sites on the Otago peninsula looking for archaeological protection and the list of stated sites, what sort of site and map references to find sites. Some of the sites are listed as burials

Correspondence, 1968, Letters from 1968 regarding the site at Sandhill Point. Includes discussion between Otago University and Museum staff, Southland Museum staff and the Commissioner of Crown Lands at the Department of Lands & Survey, around the area at Sandhill Point being turned into a reserve and around public access being cut off to area for excavation. Believed to be Maori camp sites in the sand dunes area and mentions of burials in the area. Induviduals included in correspondence include Mr D.
