letter, 24/03/1935, H D Skinner to T W Downes (Wanganui River Trust Domain Board), Downes describes two possible artefacts that he has found, he encloses two photographs of them and draws a picture to show the curve pattern of one of the artefacts. Downes believes the artefact to be made out of moa bone. Downes encloses a third photograph of a separate matter that is 16.5 meters long and possibly made of whale bone.
