letter, 01/04/1935, H D Skinner to T W Downes (Wanganui River Trust Domain Board), Skinner discusses two photographs that Downes sent to him, each were from the Newman collection. One skinner thought may have been fake but the other he said Dr. Newman said it was Moriori. Skinner explains how he had only seen curves like it in some kos and digging-sticks does not think it is the same thing or a fishing hook. Skinner wishes to publish this in the June issue of the J.P.U. Skinner annotated Downes presidential address. Skinner hopes Downes can make it to the Congress in Dunedin.
