letter, 17/06/1935 to W. Maurice Brown, Thanks for letter. Sorry to hear the part of Mr. Fels presidential address you referred to received such wide publicity in the Auckland press, since it has prevented you from visiting the Okarea Pa again. Mr. Fels drafted his speech unbeknown to author, first knowledge of this particular incident was when he was giving the speech. Faint misgivings to the publicity, didn't think it would reach the Auckland paper in detail. Too late to do anything now, Mr Fels is away in Europe. Thanks for help in the past and assures to help in every possible way in the future. Sending a copy of the latest annual report containing a photograph of Brown's head, also a copy of a series of papers published in the J.P.S on the Amulets of the Maori, will find the texts very disjointed as a number of the pieces were brought to knowledge after the sections had been completed.
