letter, H. D. Skinner to, Far Easter Pre-history Association (F.E.P.A) Formation of New Zealand and Polynesian Branch. States at the conclusion of the 4th F.E.P.A congress held at the Philippines in November last it was decided to set up a permanent council to represent Congress and to invite interested people from a corresponding membership to be known as F.E.P.A. The council recognised te importance of New Zealand and Polynesian Branch. This branch may have adopt a formal constitution and regular meetings, but immediate purpose is to build a mailing list to keep informed of happenings in the following places; Japan, China, South East Asia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Formosa, Micronesia, Melanesia, Polynesia, Australia and New Guinea, as well as future sessions at the Congress of which next is planned for January 1957 in Thailand or Indo China. Finishes with asking if receiver wishes to accept invite to the New Zealand and Polynesian Branch. A written note is added on the bottom of this presumably draft version of the invitation to join F.E.P.A a note about it is proposed to print branded stationary and it is evident that postage and other charges will have to be made. It's suggested that members pay an enrolment fee and first year subscription combined.
