letter, 24/05/1938, H D Skinner to Frank , Teviotdale's excavations of moa hunter settlements in Golden Bay were largely unsuccessful, though he found some adzes incl. greenstone at Puponga Island. Skelton gave him rare specimens of Anomal aotyrix hectori.
