letter, 19/12/1936 to Mr Edward Samuel, Seeking a copy of image of a short leg moa. Photographer W.F.E. Simpson of Cargill St. Don’t have image of larger Moa or certain it was hunted by Maori. Was a reconstruction with bush setting and x3 Maori staking it. The leading Maori was Dr Peter Buck, who was a student at the time. Source of image Otago Daily Times.
