Also discusses material discovered including a 'beautiful tiki' with paua eyes, a small feather box and some Polynesian material. Comments on Knapp's impressions of the Taranaki Museum. Notes that their Maori collection includes "some of the finest individual pieces in existence." Mentions Nelson museum.
