The writer was advised to contact the director by their late husband's friend, Mr Shepard, who was curator of the Wanganui Museum. The writer mentions her late husband was an avid collector of moths and butterflies, and that he often helped identify them for Wanganui Museum as he was a friend of Mr Shepard.
