This special three-part event begins with Night Sky Live, a guided tour of the night sky. Take a closer look at the Matariki star cluster, then journey deeper into space to see the stunning deep-sky objects that illuminate our universe.

Next, sit back and enjoy Waka Whetū, a short film that explores the stars of Matariki and their significance, reflecting on mātauraka Māori (Māori knowledge) and celestial navigation.

We finish the evening with Mārama ā Whetū, an in-house production that delves into Māori sky lore and legends of the southern night sky. This beautiful film brings to life the stories passed down through generations.
