Wild Aotearoa
We're thrilled to announce this year's pop-up category: Wild Aotearoa! For the first time in Tūhura Photography Competition history, we're opening this category to amateur photographers nationwide.
This year, we're excited to be collaborating with the Department of Conservation (DOC) to spread the idea of Always Be Naturing, getting outdoors, connecting with Aotearoa's unique wildlife, and capturing its beauty through your lens.
From birds and insects to marine life, lizards, and more, we want to see the incredible diversity of New Zealand's wildlife celebrated in your photographs.

Open to all New Zealand residents
Entrants can submit up to 10 photographs per category
Entries must feature Aotearoa's wildlife
