Meeting to cover Deputation from the Otago Institue in relations to the Museum Institute, Finances for 1933 and beginning of 1934, report to Council about a fund for Museum's extension, as well as reporting to the Council on letters from Mr. D'Arcy Mens regarding his collection of art, Panelling of the Maori House, consideration of continuing with Miss Daff, and the remuneration of members of staff.

letter, 10/01/1933 to Mr Chapman, Away over Christmas/New Year holiday's and hadn't had time to reply to Chapman's letter from the 20th. No comment to be made around The Hocken Library and reports on Forestry department and Land and Survey Department. Grateful for the trouble taken to gather the information and arrange the series of parts. Will also appreciate the series of Stock Exchange reports for history students that could find them useful. These are of extraordinary variety, as it's not known what may be needed in the future of New Zealand History. Well wishes on health and to Lady Chapman. P.S; Skinner will most likely call on his way back and will inform of any progress made here, you will be delighted with the War Canoe that has been made out of the Wanganui dug out.

letter, 03/03/1935, Frank R Chapman to Dr Benham, Both MacMillan Brown and Colquhoun were old friends of mine. Brown in a book asserts Polynesians moved Mohoani. I think it's rubbish.. I am 86 today. Is the Hocken collecting annual reports of returned soldiers and red cross.
