He kura

Nephrite/pounamu pendant. Light green inanga variety. Surface is ground smooth. Large curved reduction on one side. Tapering at the proximal end, with a suspension hole drilled from both sides. Distal end is oblique with a bevel on one side.

Mostly complete pounamu pendant, small piece broken off suspension hole at the proximal end. Mottled green with black and silver veins. Surface is ground and polished. Lenticular cross section. Internal and external barb, coming to a rounded point at the distal end.

Broken pounamu pendant, one side edge and distal end broken. Light brown with some dark green showing through on the proximal end. Rectangular shape and cross section. Surface is partially ground. Off-centre suspension hole. Sawing marks on one side of the proximal end and on one side edge. Tapers toward the distal end, which has a straight bevel demarcated by a line on each side. Adhesive residue on one side, where a sticker has been torn off.

Broken pounamu pendant, broken at the proximal end. Dark green and grey. Surface is ground with some cracks. Distal end is rounded. Proximal end has one broken and one incomplete suspension hole.

Turret shell with small perforation on one side, possibly used as a pendant suspension hole.

Bone pendant, broken at the suspension hole. Knob part-way down. Curved to a point.

Complete one-piece fishhook, unfinished. Previously broken at upper and lower point, now fixed. Surface has modern markings showing how head and tip would have been finished. Knob at head.

Complete soapstone pendant. Light grey and light brown. Surface has been ground smooth. Off-centre suspension hole, drilled from both sides. Proximal edge is rounded and distal edge is straight with a sawing mark.

Whalebone pendant with broken suspension hole at the proximal end. Slightly reduced and flattened at the distal end. Circular cross section.

Pounamu/nephrite pendant, broken at each end. Dark grey and mid green kawakawa variety. Surface is ground smooth. Curved to a point at the distal end. Proximal end is squared off. Feather fracture crack runs from just below proximal head along ridge down 2/3 of length.

Complete bone pendant. Slightly curved with a suspension hole at proximal end.

Dark red argillite implement, use unknown. Possibly a pendant, spear head, or other weapon. Surface is ground smooth with chipping at each end. Proximal end has been squared off with five or six notches down both side edges. Curves outward at shoulders and then sides taper toward the distal end. Two barb-like projections on each side (one broken off on one side). Blade is bevelled down the centre on one side.
