Collected 1924
Arnoux's beaked whale skull, separated into two parts - a skull and an unattached mandible. Three of four teeth are present on the mandible with the front right tooth missing.
Cephalorhynchus hectori
Mostly complete articulated skeleton of a Hectors dolphin, mounted on a wooden base. The specimen is in a natural position with its head facing forwards. A couple of ribs from the mid-left side are missing.
Pontoporia blainvillei
Complete articulated skeleton of a Franciscana river dolphin, mounted on a black metal frame and wooden base. The specimen is in a natural position with its vertebrae and tail straight, and its head facing forward.
Balaenoptera musculus
One eye of a Blue whale, mounted in a glass historic display jar. The eye takes up most of jar, and the historic label notes the species as humpback whale (but is most likely misidentified).
