Complete adze. Cross-section is triangular, with apex to front. Apex widens towards cutting edge, making the cross-section more trapezoidal, with front narrower than back. Surface is ground around cutting edge, becoming bruised and flaked on blade and butt. Major differentiation between butt and blade. Bevel is continuous with blade, cutting edge is narrow, sharp and curved.

incomplete (cutting edge missing/unfinished) rectangular, thickening from the front and back towards the poll. The surface is bruised with flaked sections along the sides and near the end of the blade. Major differentiation between the butt and the blade, the blade reduces into the butt on the sides forming a clear shoulder. There is no clear bevel. The cutting edge is poorly formed or broken off, this end is defined by flaking.
