Large slab of sandstone with a broad flat surface, used as a grindstone.
Complete file, front reduced at one end. The other end tapers to a point.
Broken sandstone cutter, repair visible where previously broken. There is a perforation through the repair, drilled through on both sides, meeting in the middle. At the top edge there are two carved faces. Along the bottom edge there is a notch.
Antiquities
Sandstone file. Cross-section is rectangular. One end comes to a point, the other end is rounded.
Complete sinker with a deep transverse lashing groove.
Large piece of sandstone used as a grindstone. Three flat, ground surfaces. One side has a single wide, deep longitudinal groove in the centre. Two other sides have multiple shallower grooves and grinding marks. Cortex is present on one side that has not been ground.
Small grindstone made of sandstone. Ground and flat on front. Bruising on proximal and distal ends. Deep groove on proper left side and two shallower grooves on the back side. Tapered to one end.
Oval piece of sandstone, used as a grinding and filing tool, with straight grooves across one surface.
Worked sandstone, weathered on one surface. There is a flat groove on the non-weathered surface.
Small sandstone file. Flat distal edge, front and back surfaces are flat and smooth, one tapering towards the distal edge.
Broken polisher. Cross-section is circular, with one edge flattened.
Complete sandstone file. Sides taper towards distal end, which is rounded and blunt. The front surface of the tip is reduced as well.
Broken sandstone file (kani) or polisher. Cross-section is oval. Distal edge is flat and blunt, possibly chipped. Surface is smooth.
Broken file or polisher (kani). Cross-section is asymmetrical, with long end wider than the other.
