Adze roughout. Dark grey in colour. Cross section is irregular. Surface is flaked. Large flake broken off at the back of the butt and at the back of the blade (bevel is not present). Tapers to the poll. Cutting edge is straight and chipped.

Reconstructed silcrete core with individual blades and flakes glued back together. Light grey and light brown in colour.

Broken patu onewa, most of blade and handle remaining. Drill mark in an hourglass shape at the butt, where there was once a perforation. Broken on one side and on blade edge.

Complete adze. Stone. Black. Cross-section is oval. Surface is mostly ground, bruising and flaking on sides. Minor differentiation between butt and blade, sides reduced. Bevel is continuous with blade, cutting edge is sharp and curved.

Surface is ground on lower blade, bruised and flaked on sides. Minor differentiation between butt and blade, sides reduced. Bevel is continuous with blade, cutting edge is sharp and curved, lightly chipped.
