letter, 17/05/1933, (presumably) H.D Skinner to G Archey, Auckland Institute and Museum, Thanks for letter, consignment reaching Dunedin next Friday. The pou forwarded is Ngati Porou carved around 1880, doesn't know name of carver, several examples of his work appear in plates in Maori art. Dunlop collection has reached Dunedin from Dunfermline, and is very small - not 150 pieces, bone fish-hook points included, nothing rare in it, some adzes are very good specimens though. He's sending four of the small Foveaux Strait pebble-hammers to Archey. Reminds examination papers are due soon, and that maps should be an important feature.
