Letter, 26/01/1937, H D Skinner to Director Dominion Museum, New Caledonian material sent to you and received. Please add a wire to put the adze helve straight. When at the museum a few months ago left pieces to be photographed and haven't heard about them. Exchange material posted, we would be delighted to receive a bone box, but most want the Henley canoe and canoe shaped item from Central Island. These are both from the Chapman collection and from Murihiku. please let us know if you require more exchange material for these pieces. Yet to confirm exchange pieces with museums overseas, will send you details.

Letter, 13/04/1937, H D Skinner to W J Phillipps, Dominion Museum, Thanks for letter 24/03. Says Dominion "bird call" pendant cast was of model made in Augustus Hunter's time, human-bone mouthpiece of trumpet. Originally in Skinner's father's collection (W H S), now in Taranaki Museum in New Plymouth. Miss Daff making drawings of three other "bird calls" for Phillipps.
