letter, 14/07/1934, Mr. Downie Stewart to H. D. Skinner, Regarding the Burns snuff mull in the Museum, recalls being found amongst Dr. Stuart's belongings with a letter giving its history, to show authenticity, both mull and letter handed to the Museum after his death. Unsure if letter that's been referred to as signed by Mr. Dawson, presumes it is. Suggests an old member of the Burns Club might know about it. No further papers known of. Stewarts father and Mr. Robert Glendining were the Executors of Dr. Stuart's estate. After Stewart's father's death, papers were assumingly sent to Mr. Glendining, but it is unknown where these are now. Dr. Stuart's grandson, Donald Stuart, is a merchant in Bond Street, and has been given books and paper that belonged to his grandfather by Stewart on occasion, doesn't think any of those would help.
